Vein and Hernia Surgeon
My name is Mark Whyman. I was appointed as a consultant surgeon in 1996 and I work in the NHS and in private practice.
The majority of my specialist practice is in vein and hernia surgery. I treat unsightly or uncomfortable varicose veins and thread veins, using foam sclerotherapy (injection treatment), microsclerotherapy, VNUS Closure (RF ablation) and conventional vein surgery.
I treat all types of primary and recurrent hernia including inguinal, femoral, umbilical and incisional, under local or general anaesthetic, using mesh repair with laparoscopic (keyhole) and conventional surgery.
I work as the Director of Imperial Surgical Limited to provide these and other surgical services including surgical consultation and short form medicolegal reporting.
